Somatic Healing, Land-based Wisdom, Elder Guidance

A Gentle Path Back to Your Body, Breath and Belonging

Rooted Ways is a land-rooted, trauma-aware healing practice guided by Indigenous wisdom, somatic listening, and the knowing that your body holds intelligence, memory and resilience.

This is not a place to fix what is broken. It is a place to tend what has been silenced, rush or forgotten— and to restore relationship with your body, your breath, your ancestry, and the Earth that holds you.

Healing here happens slowly, respectfully, and in right relationship with your nervous system, your lived experience, and the land.

You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are.

Our Way

Healing Through Relationship, Not Force

Root Ways honors:

  • The body as a wise and protective ally

  • The land as our first teacher and co-regulator

  • Breath as a bridge back to safety

  • Trauma-informed, consent-based, gentle pacing

  • Indigenous, ancestral, and Earth-based ways of knowing

  • The truth that healing unfolds through connection, not pressure

Roots Ways Sessions

Somatic, Compassionate, Land-Centered

One-on-one sessions support:

  • Nervous system regulation

A Note From Cari

Indigenous Elder, Cultural & Land-Based Educator, Somatic Guide

I walk this path as an Indigenous woman, an Elder, a land-based educator, and a survivor who understands that healing does not come through force— it comes through being held, listened to, and honored.

My work is guided by the wisdom of the land, the resilience of ancestors, and the belief that every body carries stories worthy of dignity, patience, and care.

Rooted Ways is an offering of gentleness, remembrance, and right relationship.

Land Acknowledgment

Land as Our First Teacher

Rooted Ways honors thr Indigenous homelands on which this work takes place, including Esselen and neighboring Tribal territories. We recognize land as a living being — a cource of healing, guidance, and regulation— and we practice gratitude as relationship, not performance.

May all healing here unfold in humility, reciprocity, and respect for Earth and all living beings.
